How a lot is bought
Access to bidding
Bidding on Copart, IAA, Manheim and Impact is closed to private individuals. We place the bid, in our own name.
Lot search
We search by make, model, budget and trim. You can also send us a lot you found — we will review it the same way.
Review before the bid
Title type, damage type and area, whether keys are present, Run and Drive status, mileage, history and a report on the car.
Bid limit
The maximum is set with delivery and customs clearance included. We do not bid above the limit — we step out and look for the next lot.
Bidding
We bid within the limit. If we win, we move on to payment; if not, we go back to searching without a new request.
Payment and pickup
Paying for the lot within the window the auction gives, processing the title and pickup from the yard. Then delivery begins.

Auctions we work with
- Copart — the largest insurance auction in the USA, the main source of cars after accidents and insurance claims.
- IAA (Insurance Auto Auctions) — the second insurance auction of the same scale.
- Manheim — a dealer auction: cars from leasing, trade-ins and corporate fleets, mostly undamaged.
- Impact Auto Auctions — a Canadian auction with the same owner as IAA.

What we check before the bid
- Title type — it affects both the lot price and the scope of repairs.
- Damage type and area, based on the lot description and photos.
- Run and Drive status: whether the car starts and moves under its own power.
- Whether keys are present.
- Mileage and whether it is marked as actual.
- Car history and a VIN report.
05 — Questions
Frequently asked questions
Can I buy a car on Copart without a dealer license?
Not directly. US insurance auctions sell to registered bidders, not to private buyers from another country. We take part in the bidding in our own name, and the car is put in your name once it is in Ukraine.
What is a salvage title, and can such a car be registered in Ukraine?
Salvage is a US mark meaning that the insurer found the repair not worth it for itself. In Ukraine, a car is registered based on the results of customs clearance, inspection and certification, not on the type of US title. We tell you the title type before the bid, because it directly affects both the lot price and the scope of repairs.
How much does a turnkey car from a US auction cost?
The lot price is increased by the auction fee, land delivery within the USA, ocean freight, import duty, excise tax, VAT, certification and customs clearance. Our calculator shows the customs part, calculated using the customs formula; the rest is quoted for a specific lot.
I found a lot myself — will you check it?
Yes, this is a common scenario. Send the link — we will look at the lot description, photos, title type and car history and tell you what exactly the price is being asked for. A review before the bid does not oblige you to anything.
What happens if we do not win the auction?
We go back to searching. The bid limit is agreed in advance for exactly this reason: we let a more expensive lot go rather than chase it. You do not need a new request for the next lot.
And what happens after the lot is won?
Payment within the window the auction gives, processing the title, pickup from the yard — and then delivery begins: land logistics within the USA, the port, the ocean, a European port and customs clearance. Most often it is the title, not the road, that shifts the date.
Can I order an undamaged car?
Yes. Dealer auctions — Manheim above all — offer cars from leasing, trade-ins and corporate fleets, mostly intact and drivable. They cost more than insurance lots, and that is why choosing an auction starts with the budget, not the other way around.
