Which auctions do you bring cars from?+
From Copart, Manheim, IAA and Impact Auto Auctions. Copart, IAA and Impact are insurance auctions, where lots are listed by insurance companies; Impact is a Canadian auction with the same owner as IAA. Manheim is a dealer auction, with cars coming off leases and trade-ins. Only a licensed participant can buy there directly — that is why we place the bid.

What does customs clearance consist of?+
Of three payments in a set order: import duty, excise tax and VAT. The rates are set by law and are the same for all importers. You can estimate the amount for a specific car with our calculator — it uses the same formula as the customs office.

How much does customs clearance of an electric car cost?+
The import duty for an electric car is 0%, but on January 1, 2026 the VAT exemption was canceled, so it pays the full 20%. The excise tax is calculated from the battery capacity, not the engine size, and does not depend on the age of the car. The calculator takes this into account separately.

Why can the customs calculation differ from the calculator?+
The customs value does not always equal the lot price: customs has the right to value the car using its own data if it considers the declared value too low. The calculator gives a preliminary estimate from the amount you entered — the manager confirms the exact figure after assessing the specific lot.

How long does a car from the USA take to arrive?+
Honestly, no one can name an exact date: the timeline depends on document readiness (title), ship schedules and the queue at customs. The most common cause of delay is a late title, not the journey itself. The stages and what really moves the date are described in the article on delivery.

How can I understand the condition of a car at auction before buying?+
From the lot description: damage type, title type, the Run and Drive and Keys marks, odometer status (TMU or Exempt). Each of them means a specific thing, and some are a reason to pass on the lot. We covered all of them in a separate article and check every lot before the bid.

Can I inspect the car before buying?+
Cars that are already at our yard in Kyiv can be inspected and test-driven before you sign the contract. For cars to order, we show photos and videos from the auction and the lot check result before we place a bid.

Do you sell only cars to order?+
No. Some cars are already at our yard in Kyiv — customs-cleared, with documents, ready for sale. If the option you need is not in stock, we will find it at a US auction for your budget and trim.

What about the documents after customs clearance?+
You receive them together with the car. We assist with customs clearance and certification and prepare the documents for import. This is what the word “turnkey” means: you pick up a car that is ready for registration, not a pack of papers to process. The registration actions themselves are performed by government authorities.
