The difference is in the taxes and the battery: excise is based on its capacity, and its condition is only indirectly visible before the bid. Duty 0%, excise €1 per kWh of battery capacity, and VAT 20% of the customs value plus excise. Most of the total is now VAT: the exemption was abolished from 1 January 2026. Work out the total for your lot in the calculator — it asks for the battery capacity instead of the engine size.
Yes, the full 20% from 1 January 2026. The exemption ran until 31 December 2025 and was not extended. Import duty stayed at zero, and excise is based on the battery capacity.
Yes, with an adapter: a US Tesla has the NACS port, while Ukrainian stations and home chargers use Type 2 and CCS2. The same goes for other US EVs: their J1772 and CCS1 ports need an adapter or a port replacement.
Before the bid, only indirectly: year, mileage, damage type and area, whether the car starts. The auction does not show the remaining capacity; a full battery check is done after delivery. That is why underbody or flood damage is a reason to pass on the lot.
Yes. A hybrid is cleared like a regular car with the same engine — by the size of the petrol or diesel engine and its age. A separate rate for hybrids applies only to a few product codes that a regular hybrid does not fall under.
